WELCOME QUARK

“Blogging is useless!” is what a dear friend told me when I mentioned about my NEXT big thing. Well, I beg to disagree. I’d say, Blogging is ‘used less’ and not useless. So, what made me start today? Maybe it is the date -> 11/11/11. It’s probably lucky and even if it is not, let’s see what chaos theory has to give. Or maybe it is because I have to write one of the most prestigious exams tomorrow for an admission into the IIMs. I became apprehensive and thus blogging became the antibiotic! Whatever be the case, even if Judgement Day is tomorrow, I’d never forget this moment.  2:33pm, 11th November 2011.

Early Days in CEG

08/08/08 - Very Auspicious Indeed. Go ask the numerologists. The Beijing Olympics had begun. Well, that didn't matter much to me. The onset of awesomeness had taken its course. Those were the days when the conversations would be like: A:  Hi. What's your cutoff? B: 199. :( :(. Nee? A: That's all? Sad dude.  :P :P B: You? A: 200 B: Must be ECE, definitely! A: Yes. I am so happy. ('We should ask him now the same question :P') Getting into ECE was/is/will be like getting a ticket for a Justin Bieber concert. Just like the latter, it is getting out of it, that matters. I recall the first day, leaving my house at 7 am, for some lab. I get into the bus and hand over a    50(Those days, the conductors would literally pound you for this. Now, if you have change, you get smashed!). Why are good students 'Engineers'?

After 10th, my parents had decided to put me in a boarding school. I was immensely exited, and the thought of independence, overhauled my career objectives. I was good in Maths, and Physics excited me. So, quite naturally, I ended up taking the Science stream. After successfully completing 12th Standard in 2008, like thousand others across India, I had only 1 choice - Take up Engineering! Pretty obvious, isn't it? I ended up taking ECE of course, in the prestigious College of Engineering, Guindy. But, I wasn't intimidated in doing so, like many of my friends. I truly believed that my interest lied in Electronics, and I could create an impact in that field. Here's where the problem started. The teachers had always played an important role in my schooling days. I would attribute my interests to them. But, in college, teaching was utterly gruesome.
