Home Alone

Earlier this week, my mom had left for Nagpur, to attend a friend's marriage. For her, it was a welcome break from her mundane activities. She is having a ball actually, sans her notorious son! :)

If you are wondering what's so special about 'Home Alone', well, it kind of is. Rarely do I get the gigantic place for myself, and well, I was looking forward to it.

Technically speaking, at home,we generally don't talk much. Nothing actually changed much initially. I still kept fiddling with my laptop or was on the phone. Apart from the usual stuff, I wanted this to be different. My school mates come home often. They don't need any invitation. My home is their home. But, for some reason, it's not the case with my college buddies. So, yes, I decided to call them over! Some of them did turn up, and we had a nice time.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!

Anyways, the next morning, they were gone and things were back to square one. Now What?

I decided to try my hands on cooking. I've been wanting to learn cooking this semester, but well, it just didn't happen. Anyways, with Google, anything is possible. So, I headed towards the kitchen. It took about half an hour, just to figure out the ingredients. Anyways, when it came to the cooking part, it was a flop show. Everything went wrong, and luckily, I didn't get hurt. Well, so much for that!

In between all this, I was busy with the 4th Issue work for GT. It was nice to sit back and 'boss' people around in my own style and manner.

Then, something totally unexpected happened. I had my first real confrontation - that too with a dear friend. Things had got bitter over the past few months. 'Friendship once broken cannot be mended', he said. It hurt me a lot. Our egos had gotten better of us. Well, every experience is a learning!

Anyways, as I sit now, having Dosa (which I made btw), I am musing on various things.  We need to be adaptive according to situations that arise from time to time! Nothing ever happens according to plan. Absolutely nothing.

So did I feel lonely the past couple of days? Maybe, not! But, as it is the case so many times, my thought process has taken a beating, and I am truly scared, yet intrigued of things to come.

No Tea, only Chaos

Cult following is something that only the adherent can understand!  One such person I admire is Preeti Shenoy!  Here's the link to her blog! http://justamotheroftwo.blogspot.in Here is the banner for her latest work! You can preorder it at flipcart! Anyways, here is this Tuesday's Meme! "The table is set perfectly, for 'tea for two'. (and the piece of cake is ready too).  I am really looking forward to this. There is still a good half an hour left for my guest to arrive as per the  text  I just got. Suddenly the door bell rings....... Has she come already? Damn! What an artifice! Once in a blue moon do I clean my house, and the Gods didn't like it one bit! So I thought. ' This is not what we expect from you my child. You are expected to be surrounded by filth'  Well, sooner she found out my chaos, the better I thought. Hesitatingly, I rushed to the door! Well, it was some random guy. 'T...

Early Days in CEG

08/08/08 - Very Auspicious Indeed. Go ask the numerologists. The Beijing Olympics had begun. Well, that didn't matter much to me. The onset of awesomeness had taken its course. Those were the days when the conversations would be like: A:  Hi. What's your cutoff? B: 199. :( :(. Nee? A: That's all? Sad dude.  :P :P B: You? A: 200 B: Must be ECE, definitely! A: Yes. I am so happy. ('We should ask him now the same question :P') Getting into ECE was/is/will be like getting a ticket for a Justin Bieber concert. Just like the latter, it is getting out of it, that matters. I recall the first day, leaving my house at 7 am, for some lab. I get into the bus and hand over a    50(Those days, the conductors would literally pound you for this. Now, if you have change, you get smashed!). So I reach college by 7 30, and still I am one of the last ones to get there. I see uptight looks on people. I mean, it is the first class for heaven's sake! I w...
WELCOME QUARK “Blogging is useless!” is what a dear friend told me when I mentioned about my NEXT big thing. Well, I beg to disagree. I’d say, Blogging is ‘used less’ and not useless . So, what made me start today? Maybe it is the date -> 11/11/11. It’s probably lucky and even if it is not, let’s see what chaos theory has to give. Or maybe it is because I have to write one of the most prestigious exams tomorrow for an admission into the IIMs. I became apprehensive and thus blogging became the antibiotic! Whatever be the case, even if Judgement Day is tomorrow, I’d never forget this moment.  2:33pm, 11 th November 2011. Cheers Ramki
